What is Love in Action?

Great Commission Baptist Church (GCBC) seeks to demonstrate God’s great love in a variety of ways. Love in Action is our attempt to demonstrate God’s love in practical, tangible, and creative ways. We may give away cold water on a warm day, wash your car for free, help you move to a new home, rake your leaves, or any number of other things. We do all of this not just to be nice, or to do our good deed for the day, but because we want you to understand that God loves you. These small demonstrations of love pale in comparison to God’s demonstration of love. The Bible says, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The greatest “love in action” is God’s love for all of us. He gave us Jesus Christ whose death on the cross and resurection from the dead gives those who believe new life with God.
